This recipe uses buttermilk biscuits that are refrigerated for convenience and delicious results. It is loaded with cheeses such as Colby-Monterey Jack, Colby-Mozzarella, and cheddar. This Christmas tree cheese bread is a warm garlic delight!

Ingredients

Six string cheese mozzarella cheese sticks (0.75 oz each)

Five extra-sharp cheddar cheese sticks (0.75 oz each)

5 Colby-Monterey Jack cheese sticks (0.75 oz each)

Buttermilk biscuits in 2 cans (each 16.3 oz)

2 tablespoons of butter 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 spoonful Italian seasoning

Fresh chives (flat-leaved parsley) or Italian parsley (1 tablespoon)

1 15 oz pizza or spaghetti sauce

Directions

Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a cookie sheet 18×14 inches with parchment paper.

Each cheese stick can be cut into four pieces, resulting in 64 parts. Each can of dough should be divided into eight biscuits. Divide each biscuit into two layers to make 32 biscuit rounds. Each biscuit round should be flattened into a 4-inch circle.

Place two pieces of the same cheese in the center of each round. Fold the edges over the cheese and pinch to seal. Place biscuits in a tree shape on a cookie sheet using the photo as a reference. Place them with their seams down, next to one another, and randomly, beginning at the trunk.

Microwave butter in a small bowl on high for 30-60 seconds or until it melts. Add garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush the mixture over the biscuits. Bake biscuits for 29 to 33 min or until golden brown.

Add chives to the top. Microwave pizza sauce in a small bowl on high for 60-90 seconds. Stir halfway through. Serve the cheese-filled biscuits with pizza.

Be sure to pinch the seams to prevent cheese from bubbling out of the biscuit dough. Before serving, sprinkle freshly shredded Parmesan on top.
